Heading Toward a New World Order: Pluto, Saturn and Ketu in Sagittarius, 2019-2020

(Please note that I only use the sidereal zodiac in my work, so the charts and predictions I share on my blog are based on the sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanamsa).

In most of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, Pluto and Saturn conjoin Ketu, the Moon’s South Node, in the sign of sidereal Sagittarius. The Sun, Moon, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus will join this Sagittarius conjunction at various times forming a significant stellium in Sagittarius (three or more planets in one sign). Rahu, the Moon’s North Node, will transit at the same time in sidereal Gemini. Therefore, the harbingers of change known as eclipses (which occur when the lunar nodes line up with the Sun and Moon every six months) will occur in the Sagittarius-Gemini axis beginning in early January 2019; and, this pattern will continue through 2019 and much of 2020.

Some of the general themes of the Sagittarius-Gemini sign axis revolve around cosmic law and right action (dharma); educational institutions, knowledge, and ethics; logic and faith; philosophical ideals and principles; innovative developments in communication, learning, technology, banking, and currencies; the search for freedom and justice; and the polarity between diversity and unity.

This is a quadriwheel chart showing the four Sagittarius eclipses in 2019-2020:         This is a triwheel chart showing the three Gemini eclipses in 2019-2020:

Full Super-Blood-Wolf-Moon and Total Lunar Eclipse of January 20-21, 2019

As I write this on Thursday, January 17, the Moon is waxing in its last quarter, which means the “light” in the world is expanding. Now we are in the process of organizing, integrating, perfecting, and finishing in preparation for the full Moon which will occur early on Monday, January 21, 2019 EST and UTC, and late on Sunday, January 20 in regions west of the Eastern Time zone. The five days before, the day of, and five days after a full Moon (to a lesser extent) are a powerful time to access the illuminated spiritual energies for empowerment, healing, meditation, and prayer. This will be the first full Moon of 2019 and it will be a doozy because it is also a Supermoon and a total lunar eclipse, so in effect, get ready for a super-charged full Moon!

2019 New Year Chart at the December 21, 2018 Solstice

Our Sun is now transiting in the Galactic Center, an event which occurs every year in the third week of December around the solstice. The Galactic Center is known as Vishnu Nabhi in the Vedic tradition, the Navel of Lord Vishnu, which is the source of cosmic light and creative power in our Milky Way Galaxy. As our Sun, the local source for this cosmic light and power, transits through the Galactic Center, it is being recharged and rejuvenated in an energetic upgrade.

The solstice will occur on December 21, 2018 at 5:23 PM EST (10:23 PM UTC). The days before and after the solstice mark an extremely sensitive time for the Earth and her inhabitants, so it’s important to slow down and be extra mindful now. Spiritual gateways are opening and energies are shifting, and this can be a magnificent experience for those who are tuned inward, but functioning in 3D requires a bit of extra grounding and awareness now. Mars Acting Up, Sun’s Scorpio Ingress, Venus Direct, and Mercury Retrograde: Shifting Tides

Heads up for some shifting “astral weather,” and here are just a few things to be aware of in the coming days and weeks:

There could be some fiery intensity in the public (the mass mind) as Mars (conflict) will transit across the natal Moon in the U.S. birth chart on November 17. This aspect can exert an effect for several days either side of November 17, as well. The conjunction occurs in the 3rd house which could potentially indicate conflict heating up related to neighbors and borders, as well as suggesting some kind of media upset or frenzy.

Mars in Sidereal Aquarius: The Mighty Warrior as Water Bearer

O’ Mighty Mars, with loving reverence I bow before you!
You glow with fiery red passion,
And you are the epitome of courage and dynamism.
You actively benefit all beings,
Homage to you, Lord Mangala!

Transiting Mars finally left sidereal Capricorn last evening on November 5, 2018, after having transited there since early May. Some of us have probably accomplished much, grown a great deal, and learned a lot about ourselves and each other through this transit. Now Mars is transiting in sidereal Aquarius until December 23, 2018.

Mars in Aquarius may have some improvements from Mars in Capricorn, for a few reasons: Continue reading

The Astrology of Bitcoin Series: Part Four

Caution: The following material is for informational purposes only, and is not intended to provide, and should not be relied on for, financial advice. You should consult your own financial advisors before engaging.

This article was co-written by me (Juliana Swanson) and by Dr. Sisira Amarasinghe, my former student and a dear friend and colleague. Sisira is an Information Systems Engineering specialist with extensive academic and industrial experience in a range of domains covering Enterprise IT, Biomedical, Automotive, and Industrial Automation. Preface

This article builds on the foundation and the theme introduced and formulated in the three previous parts (One, Two, and Three) in the same series.  While this article is intended to be self-contained, it is best reviewed in combination with the others. (Please note that all astrological information shared on this blog is based on Vedic astrology and the sidereal “nirayana” zodiac, not the tropical “ayana” system in use by most western and a few Vedic astrologers).

Key Planetary Indicators in the Bitcoin Chart

We analyzed the astrological patterns correlated with Bitcoin price fluctuations and found a set of distinct patterns based on the planetary transits as well as the Vimshottari dasha, a progressed Vedic astrology planetary system for tracking life cycles. As discussed in previous articles, our rectified Sagittarius-Mula ascendant horoscope for Bitcoin has a Kala Sarpa Yoga in which all the planets occupy one side of the chart hemmed between the lunar nodes (Rahu and Ketu). Since the lunar nodes are responsible for eclipses, their transits (which create eclipses) were found to be highly significant in tracking highs and lows, and especially lows. More specifically, our research shows that eclipses involving Saturn and the North or South Nodes (Rahu and Ketu) in aspect to the natal or transiting Sun, Mars, or Mercury have in the past pointed to a dip or low period in Bitcoin’s price.

Venus in Sidereal Libra: September 1, 2018 to January 1, 2019

Venus will be in an extended transit in the sidereal zodiac sign of Libra from September 1, 2018 until January 1, 2019. During this period, Venus will retrograde from October 7 until November 17. During its retrograde period, it will move back through Swati nakshatra and Chitra nakshatra from approximately 17 degrees to 1 degree of sidereal Libra.

Usually, Venus transits through each of the twelve zodiac signs for a little less than a month. The last time Venus transited in the Libra constellation was from November 2 to November 26, 2017. Venus retrogrades for approximately 40 – 43 days every 18 months, and in these retrograde periods, Venus stays in the same sign for approximately four months. Every eight years, Venus retrogrades during its transit in Libra. The last times that this happened were:

  • September 1, 2010 – January 1, 2011 (retrograde October 18 – November 29)
  • August 31, 2002 – January 1, 2003 (retrograde October 16 – November 26)
  • August 31 – December 31, 1994 (retrograde October 13 – November 24)
  • August 31 – December 31, 1986 (retrograde October 11 – November 22)
  • August 31 – December 30, 1978 (retrograde October 9 – November 19)

The Astrology of Bitcoin Series: Part Three

I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to write this article with Sisira. His encouragement, support, and assistance have proven invaluable, especially related to all the formatting and graphics he provided as well as his advice about Bitcoin along with the astrological research and analysis. I’m thrilled to say that Sisira will also join me in writing the final article in this series.

As discussed in my previous Bitcoin article, I believe that the correct astrological birth chart for Bitcoin should be based on the Satoshi White Paper released on October 31, 2008, which I have rectified to Van Nuys, CA (11:10 AM). The ascendant is Mula nakshatra in sidereal Sagittarius near the Galactic Center, where the commanding game-changer Pluto also rises. Jupiter rises after Pluto, also in Sagittarius in the first house, which reflects the essence of the hypothetical and theoretical nature of the White Paper. As explained before, all this in addition to other astrological and circumstantial evidence compels my choice of this horoscope.

Neptune Retrograde 2018

Neptune, planet of divine love, mysteries, secrets, idealism, lies, and deception, will station retrograde at 22 deg. 22 min. of sidereal Aquarius, on Monday, June 18, 2018, at 7:26:33 PM Eastern Time. This is an annual cycle for Neptune when it retrogrades for about five months, in this case, until November 25. Retrograde Neptune cycles are generally a period when we have to face up to some reality. Around the retrograde station itself (10 days either side), we often find ourselves embroiled in a misunderstanding that needs to be cleared up.

Mars and Ketu in Capricorn: May 2-November 5, 2018

One of the most important astrological events of 2018 is the upcoming transit of Mars in Capricorn. Mars is the planet which governs the fire element. It relates to logic, courage, initiative, drive, personal power, a pioneering spirit, assertiveness, aggression, conflict, economic and military matters, siblings, and war. Usually Mars passes through each astrological constellation for just around two months, but ~every two+ years, Mars has an extended transit in one sign because of its retrograde cycle. It will occur this year (2018) with Mars transiting in sidereal Capricorn from May 2 to November 5. During this period, Mars will retrograde from June 26 to August 27.

In my professional consultations with clients, I am discussing the Mars in Capricorn transit in great detail because it is extremely significant and influential when a planet like Mars stays in one sign and house for six months like this! Not only are we looking at the extended six-month transit of Mars, but we are also looking into its two-month retrograde cycle which is the most intense period. Continue reading
